Ottawa's ACE Security Laminates has formed an alliance with auto glass supplier Belron Canada in a bid to move into the auto glass market.

Belron operates under three banners---Standard AutoGlass, Lebeau Vitres d'autos and DURO vitres d'autos---and has agreed to distribute ACE's window security products to its customers.

"ACE is extremely proud of this alliance with Belron Canada and is

confident that the offering of its products through Belron's unique nationwide

network of expertise will open a door on a market that has not been fully

developed by ACE as of today: the automotive market," Peter Fabian,

president and CEO of ACE/Security Laminates said in a statement.

The ACE products will first be offered in Lebeau Vitres d'autos, later at

DURO vitres d'autos stores in Québec, but both ACE and Belron's intention is to offer the ACE products from coast to coast within the next year.
