Ottawa's Fidus Systems says it has completed an 18-month assignment designing key sub-systems for MOSAID Technologies' newest semiconductor memory test system.

The two companies have recently agreed to a follow-on project, which will be Fidus' 300th electronic design.

"In four years we've completed 300 projects for 75 customers," says Fidus president, Michael Wakim. "We are very pleased to have contributed to MOSAID's latest product and we look forward to a continuing relationship."

Fidus' contribution to the MOSAID project included complex analog and digital printed circuit board designs, with demanding performance and high-speed signal integrity targets. The effort included circuit design, board design and FPGA design tasks, and used sophisticated circuit simulation and computer-aided design tools and techniques.

"Fidus understood our requirements and delivered excellent results," says Ian Hughes, director of engineering for MOSAID's systems division.
