Air traffic in Canadian airspace fell by 4.2 per cent year-over-year in November, according to new NAV Canada numbers.
The decline was the third monthly decrease recorded by the civil air navigation services provider.
For the fiscal year-to-date, air traffic has fallen by 2.2 per cent compared to the same period a year earlier. NAV Canada's fiscal year runs from Sept. 1 to Aug. 31.
Traffic is measured in weighted charging units for en-route, terminal and oceanic air navigation services, a figure which reflects the number of flights, aircraft size and distance flown in Canadian airspace.
