Recipients of the 2008-09 Employees' Choice Awards were all smiles after gathering at the Hampton Inn recently, to receive their hardware and a firm handshake.
Representatives from all ten companies – Chipworks, Macadamian, Interis, McMillan and Associates, bitHeads, The Works Gourmet Burger Bistro, CH2M HILL, Systemscope, Rhodes and Williams Ltd. and Protus – were on hand to receive their awards, after being profiled in the most recent issue of Ottawa HR magazine.
To receive an award companies were subjected to a rigorous online evaluation by their own employees, which asked workers how much they enjoy logging hours at their company. For the recipients, the results were overwhelmingly positive. A selection committee then evaluated the most promising entries, meticulously selecting the award winners.
