Just two days after announcing a deal for work on the University of Calgary campus, The envision Group is at it again with the news of $4.5 million in new contracts through its IONA Contractors Ltd. subsidiary.
The Ottawa-based environmental services group said Calgary subsidiary IONA had won several contracts to perform the assessment, cleanup and rehabilitation of contaminated soils from projects located throughout Alberta.
"These are noteworthy contracts for us; they open the door to other opportunities with major petroleum companies," said the group's CEO, Frank D'Addario, in a statement. "We will continue to target similar projects and further our presence in this pace."
Including this latest deal, The envision Group has received more than $30-million-worth of deals this year through IONA.
The group on Monday also announced a $2.3-million contract through its Western Construction and Combustion Services Inc. business to remove the University of Calgary's existing glazing system and install new skylights with electrically operated blinds.
