Traveller security solution maker WorldReach Software has won a multi-year deal with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs.

The Ottawa-based company, whose software serves consular organizations and individual travellers, said it will be supplying the Irish DFA with its AssistReach consular case management and CrisisReach crisis management solutions.

The software will support the operations of the organization's headquarters and more than 60 missions abroad, which in turn facilitate the roughly eight million overseas trips made by Irish residents each year.

"With the award by the Irish DFA we proudly celebrate our fourth Foreign Affairs customer in Europe and sixth worldwide," said Worldreach president Gordon Wilson in a statement. "The selection of WorldReach Software that was done through a competitive global RFP (request for proposal) process shows the strength of our CrisisReach and AssistReach consular software solutions."

WorldReach's customers include the foreign affairs departments of Canada, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom.
