Mitel has signed a new reseller deal with Colorado-based Arrow Electronics Computing Solutions. (Arrow ECS) for Mitel's unified voice and data solution.

The Ottawa-based telecommunications company said it will work with Arrow ECS to offer sales and marketing support to resellers of Mitel's Unified Internet Protocol (IP) Client for the Sun Ray hardware.

"We are delighted that Arrow ECS is collaborating with us to bring our Sun 'Powered by Mitel' solutions to more customers," stated Stephen Beamish, Mitel's vice-president of business development and strategic alliances. "Clearly, Arrow ECS understands what resellers need to effectively sell innovative solutions to their customers."

The two companies are partnering to provide presales support, including educational materials, to resellers, as well as to connect Sun resellers with Mitel resellers to jointly sell the solution.

The Sun Ray solution is an ultrathin-client hardware which works with Mitel's call processing applications to create a centralized, energy-efficient and secure authentication solution that delivers a unified computing and voice desktop.
