Titus Labs Inc. has won a deal to provide its e-mail and document classification software to the 50,000 employees of a large investment firm.
The Ottawa-based company said the unnamed client has selected its Message Classification and Document Classification solutions to help prevent data loss and easily find information for compliance audits.
The firm is moving from a template-driven system for documents to the Titus Labs commercial off-the-shelf solution, which will be integrated with the company's existing encryption tools.
"Within the financial services market, compliance is a key driver for e-mail and document classification," stated Al Sturgeon, Titus Labs regional sales manager for North America. "Our offering provides a proven solution that addresses compliance considerations, while ensuring it is intuitive to use for end users. This approach enables organizations to get classification and labelling up and running and ensure end user acceptance in a relatively short period of time."
The investment firm's employees will be using the Titus Labs software to classify Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web Access and BlackBerry e-mail, as well as Microsoft Office documents.
The new contract adds to Titus Labs's work with more than 100 military, government and enterprise customers worldwide, including the Australian Department of Defence, Multi National Forces Iraq and the U.S. Department of Veterans.
