PIKA Technologies Inc.'s new WARP telephony appliance is being used in Schmooze Communications' new line of business telephone systems, Ottawa-based PIKA announced Tuesday.
Wisconsin's Schmooze is integrating PIKA's WARP technology, which is a computer replacement with plug-in voice cards for voice-application deployment, into its PBXAct open-standard business telephone systems.
"We're thrilled to welcome an innovative PBX system builder like Schmooze Communications to our growing community of PIKA WARP users," stated Terry Atwood, PIKA's vice-president of sales, marketing and customer care. "We created the appliance expressly to provide customers like Schmooze with an embedded solution ideal for feature-rich and cost-effective phone systems for business."
The technology, which was launched in June, is being combined with the FreePBX graphical user interface, which provides pre-programmed functionality for the configuration of the Asterisk open-source platform.
