OSI signs contract with Australian Navy

OSI Geospatial Inc. ( TSX:OSI) has signed a US$1.1 million contract to provide navigation systems and hardware upgrades to the Australian Navy over the next three months.

"The Australian Navy has become one of our largest customers and we are committed to expanding our business relationship," said OSI chief executive Ken Kirkpatrick in a statement.

He added he is confident that the deal with lead to significant business in the future for the company, which delivers advanced geospatial systems and software that enable shared real-time situational awareness for military and security applications.

On Wednesday, OSI announced its American operations has signed research and development contracts with the U.S. military worth roughly US$1.7 million.
