Only two days after landing a deal in the United Arab Emirates, CRYPTOCard was tapped for an identity authentication solution in Romania.

The Ottawa two-factor authentication (2FA) developer will work with Raiffeisen Online, a division of Romania's Raiffeisen Bank, to increase security for the bank's 3,500 networked customers, CRYPTOCard announced Thursday.

Local integrator Datanet Systems served as a liaison between the two entities.

"The CRYPTOCard system we have implemented at Raiffeisen provides robust levels of security, as well as scalability and availability," said Gabriel Muset, CEO of Datanet systems, in a statement.

"It also offered the best value for money, and was the only solution that could be easily and quickly integrated with Raiffeisen's existing systems and strict security requirements."

On Tuesday, Dubai Bank announced it would use CRYPTOCard's solution to beef up security for its corporate account customers.
