Kanata-based Avoca Semiconductor Inc. will showcase a new residential music system at a residential custom installation trade show in Denver, the company said in a statement.
The CEDIA Expo from Sept. 4 to 8 will see the launch of Avoca's $4,000 VIP Music Edition, which includes several components to convert a CD-based music collection into a digital library.
The VIP's music player plays CDs and also stores them in high-quality digital files on a built-in hard drive.
Tracks can then be accessed through voice commands or a touch-screen wireless hand-held controller.
Avoca markets voice-enabled user systems in mobile, residential and automotive music products.
