Mxi software lifts off for Boeing

Mxi Technologies' Maintenix software successfully started up Tuesday in an aircraft fleet supported by Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, according to a statement.
The Ottawa-based company's maintenance and engineering systems software for Seattle-based Derivative Airplane Programs the business unit of Boeing is expected to improve labour productivity and cut costs for customers.
Airline giants Qantas and Air Canada also implemented the Maintenix system earlier this year.
The Boeing project, Mxi added, was completed on time and within budget.
