Embedded systems products maker QNX Software Systems is teaming up with India's Global Edge Software Ltd., a deal which will give QNX access to a range of Internet protocol technologies that will complement its telecom products.

"QNX recognizes the time-to-market demands faced by embedded OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) and the tremendous value gained by quickly integrating leading-edge technologies into complete systems solutions," said QNX segment manager Romain Saha in a statement. "Collaborating with an engineering services provider like GlobalEdge makes it easier for our customers to manage the process."

The Ottawa-based company, which makes operating systems, development tools and middleware for embedded systems, said the alliance with GlobalEdge of Bangalore has already resulted in a solution which allows users of the the QNX Neutrino real-time operating system to add in Marvell's Wi-Fi solution.
