Ottawa's Mxi Technologies, an aviation maintenance software company, announced Wednesday a ten-year software license distribution agreement with Boeing for an undisclosed amount.
The agreement will see Mxi continue to supply the aviation giant with the company's Maintenix line of software, an integrated solution that Boeing hopes will help with labour productivity in after-sales product support. It builds on Mxi's previous relationship with Boeing, said the company, as earlier this month Mxi announced its Maintenix software was chosen to provide maintenance service for Boeing's line of 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
"Boeing has been successfully integrating the Maintenix product with its suite of maintenance and engineering management tools for several years, and their desire to further develop that relationship shows the upmost confidence in our product," said Les Hine, president of Mxi Technologies, in a statement.
"Over the last year, the Maintenix product has been expanding and with the clearly defined increase in work that this agreement offers, we have been able to continue growing our team at an accelerated pace."
