Optelian has won a deal to help a Czech company provide network management services to the second-largest telecom provider in the Czech Republic.

The Ottawa-based company said Czech-based services provider OptoNet Communication has selected Optelian's LightGAIN active CWDM (coarse wavelength division multiplexing) and management system to provide services to Ceske Radiokomunikace.

Ceske Radiokomunikace is the top provider of broadcast services in the Czech Republic and was the first carrier to launch public digital television broadcasting in the country, as well as being the second-largest operator of landlines in the Czech marketplace.

OptoNet will use LightGAIN to provide fibre optic transport and will also use Optelian's full network management suite to provide OptoNet with a complete overview of the network services it is providing to Ceske Radiokomunikace.
