March Networks's Italian arm CIEFFE has secured another deal in the Middle East, this time with the Al Ain International Airport in the United Arab Emirates.

The airport has chosen CIEFFE systems integrator Al Fahad Smart Systems to upgrade the surveillance systems for its terminal and cargo facilities, with the initial rollout including more than 400 Internet protocol (IP)-based video surveillance cameras.

CIEFFE will also provide advanced video management software, encoders and recording systems.

"We are pleased to provide Al Ain International Airport with a high-performance IP video solution that meets the demanding requirements of public transportation and critical infrastructure security," said March Networks CEO Peter Strom in a statement. "We look forward to expanding our footprint in the Middle East further in the months to come."

The deal follows shortly after March's announcement last week that CIEFFE would be installing its products at a luxury hotel in the United Arab Emirates for an unnamed international hospitality group.
