CRYPTOCard has won a deal with Missouri's Kansas City Life Insurance Company.
The Ottawa-based maker of two-factor authentication technology said KCLI had selected CRYPTOShield to protect its data as the insurance company's employees access the information remotely.
KCLI said it selected CRYPTOShield because its cost-effective tokens had long battery life, its licences didn't expire and they could be used in a multi-platform environment. The company also commended CRYPTOCard on its personalized customer service and responsiveness.
"CRYPTOCard works on the premise that customers want simple solutions. Our customers need not worry about rigid upgrade processes as their IT environments evolve, nor should they concern themselves with 'clock-watching' hardware that is set to expire," stated Bill Laham, CRYPTOCard's senior vice-president of North America and products. "We have designed our offering to make password management and policy administration a simple process. Many customers have significant investments in their IT infrastructure and our goal is to help them keep their environment untouched and intact."
KCLI has more than 500 associates who work from home and require remote access, and it has an agency force of more than 1,400 insurance agents serving 48 states and the District of Columbia. The company insures more than half a million policyholders across the United States.
