Optelian, an established provider of optical transport systems with its global headquarters in Ottawa, announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Ideal Plan Co., a Seoul-based South Korean company.
Specializing in the distribution of high-value products in optical fibre telecommunications, Ideal Plan Co. supplies optical test and measurement equipment to many of the largest telecom providers in Korea, and will carry Optelian's optical transport equipment. As well as distribution, the company said in a statement that Ideal Plan Co. will also perform value-added reseller services through installation and maintenance.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed; however, Optelian said Ideal Plan Co. will promote the company's LightGAIN systems from their family of optical transport products.
Optelian's U.S. headquarters are in Marietta, Ga.
