Counterpath Corporation today announced an extended relationship with Iskratel, a leading systems integrator and network equipment provider in Slovenia, to include the company's full suite of desktop and VoIP products.
The company, headquartered in Vancouver but with longstanding Ottawa offices which house over one-third of the company's employees, including board chairman Terry Matthews said they'll provide their line of multimedia softphones and conferencing solutions to Iskratel, Slovenia's largest mobile operator.
"Iskratel is redefining the notion of service delivery by enabling operators to quickly bring innovative, scalable, pre-integrated FMC services to their customers in pre- or IMS environments," said Jason Fischl, CounterPath's chief technology officer, in a statement. "We are excited that Iskratel has chosen our products as the perfect complement to their service-enablement strategy.
"In conjunction with our FMC and softphone solutions, operators gain a clear competitive advantage by allowing users to access any application from any network on any device, enabling a single service profile and application convergence across multiple access networks."
Counterpath's product suite includes SIP-based softphones, server applications and Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) solutions that enable service providers, enterprises and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to cost-effectively integrate voice, video, presence and Instant Messaging (IM) applications into their VoIP offerings.
