DragonWave Inc. is helping wires and costs disappear in Bermuda by providing its wireless networking product to client M3 Wireless.
Ottawa-based DragonWave said its AirPair product, which merges WiMAX backhaul data and GSM voice services for business and residential customers on a single Internet protocol (IP)-based infrastructure, is interlinking 27 sites across M3's meshed Ethernet network spanning the tropical island.
"With demand intensifying for personal broadband services such as WiMAX, wireless backhaul is a growing concern for service providers," said DragonWave CEO Peter Allen in a statement. "Our AirPair product has a strong track record of providing cost-effective, dependable backhaul in markets worldwide, and we look forward to working with M3 Wireless as it continues to expand its offerings in Bermuda."
M3, which is the only provider of cellular data and voice services based in Bermuda, provides broadband connectivity to business and consumer customers throughout the island.
