Ottawa-based N-able Technologies has opened an office in Australia and signed a strategic distribution agreement with Australian distributor Lan 1.
The Aussie office is in Sydney and will be managed by regional sales manager Derik Poitras.
"Australia's IT services market is primed for growth and the proactive, automated managed services capabilities found within N-central (software) will help ignite this demand and enhance how IT services are being delivered and consumed not only in Australia, but across the globe," says N-able president and CEO Gavin Garbutt.
Market research firm IDC forecasts the Australian IT services market is expected to reach A$15 billion by 2011.
N-able provides remote monitoring and management software and business transformation services for managed service providers.
Lan 1 will be N-able's first distribution partner in Australia. The company will actively co-market, sell and support N-able software to Australian solution providers and managed service providers that are focused on small and medium-size businesses.
"We are teaming with Lan 1 to accelerate our growth in Australia and engage with partners faster than we could on our own," Mr. Garbutt said. "N-able is eager to earn the business of Australia's solution provider and MSP community and help them to achieve greater efficiencies and profitability as business owners and trusted IT advisors to many of Australia's growing small and medium businesses."
