Managed information technology services provider The Utility Company has added one of the largest tech solution providers in Northern California to its franchise system.

The Ottawa-based company said it had signed a franchise partnership with Western Blue Corp., which will become the exclusive provider of IT services as a utility in Sacramento through The Utility Company's Beyond Managed Services system.

"Terry (Joslin) and his team at Western Blue represent a flagship utility service provider and will bring tremendous value and experience to Utility with initiatives like their 'Green IT' program," The Utility Company president Mark Scott said in a statement. "We are very excited about our partnership and the prospects of bringing our 'single-source' provider solution to the Sacramento market."

Mr. Joslin, who is the president of Western Blue Corp., said The Utility Company's franchise model allowed Western Blue to effectively penetrate the small- and medium-sized business market more effectively and deliver strong return on investment with a steady annuity stream.

The Utility Company has franchise partnerships with IT service providers across 2,000 markets in North America.
