Security software company Third Brigade has integrated its product with a Virginia-based firm's comprehensive security information and event management solution, aiming to offer users the ability to prioritize dealing with security threats.

The Ottawa-based company said Wednesday that its host intrusion detection and prevention system will be incorporated into Intellitactics's Security Manager program.

"We are delighted to be working with Intellitactics to ensure customers have a tightly integrated solution, one that leverages their investments in our complementary technologies and avoids the cost of custom integration and support common to other non-integrated solutions," said Third Brigade's chief technology officer Brian O'Higgins in a statement.

The Intellitactics Security Manager aims to help security analysts focus on alerts with the greatest impact on the business and enables the company to comply with regulatory standards, while Third Brigade's Deep Security system brings network security approaches such as firewall and intrusion detection and prevention down to individual computers and devices.
