Electronics design company Fidus Systems saw a 29-per-cent jump in revenues to $5.9 million in fiscal 2006, a five-year-high.
Fidus, which is a privately held company, said revenues had risen by 89 per cent over the past three years.
The company did not report profitability figures, but Fidus has been on the OBJ's Fastest Growing Companies list two years in a row. Fidus has been cash-flow positive for the past four fiscal years.
"We've undergone rapid expansion at multiple sites," said Fidus chief executive Michael Wakim in a statement. "In the past year, we've opened a design centre in Toronto, added designers in Lebanon and Ottawa, and nearly doubled the size of our Ottawa hardware laboratory."
The company said U.S.-based customers made up about 30 per cent of its new contract bookings in 2006, a significant increase from the previous year. It added that it had received orders from 63 customers from Ottawa, southern Ontario, New York, Boston, San Jose and Europe.
