It's a coup for Ottawa-based FreeBalance.
The company that specializes in government accountability solutions said Tuesday it has won the Ontario Global Traders Provincial Award for Market Expansion - Service. The award was presented to FreeBalance by Ontario Minister of Economic Development and Trade Joseph Cordiano at a gala ceremony in Toronto.
"Ontario accounts for more than half of all Canadian exports and to be recognized as a leader in exporting government accountability solutions is a tremendous honour for FreeBalance," said vice-president of marketing Andrew Jackson.
"FreeBalance solutions are contributing to government accountability and good governance from Guyana to Sierra Leone and we can attribute much of this success to our strong foundation and history in Ontario and with the Government of Canada."
Last month, FreeBalance was honoured three times at the Ontario Global Traders Awards Eastern Region ceremony. The Ontario Global Traders Awards (OGTA) is co-ordinated by Ontario Exports Inc., the Government of Ontario's export development agency. First introduced in 1998, these awards recognize the outstanding export achievements of the most innovative and successful small and medium-sized enterprises, leaders and students in Ontario.
