The Casino du Lac-Leamy will present its annual Poker Run June 28, and it held a sneak preview of the high-profile event Tuesday morning.

Tuesday's preview of the event featured three high-powered performance boats race each other on the Ottawa River. With speeds of up to 72 km/h, the powerboats thrilled the 20-plus attendees.

The Casino du Lac-Leamy 's Poker Run 2003 is a friendly competition that draws 40 boats from Ontario, Quebec and the U.S. to compete. Competitors will aim for prizes totalling $20,000.

The Poker Run is considered the most prestigious event in the poker circuit in Canada and the U.S. The Poker Run 2003 is sponsored by Power Boating Canada Magazine and Les Plaisanciers.
