Career Path: Gardner began her career in 1990 in public relations at CBC Radio before moving on to Communications Canada in 1992. In 1993, she joined Medex Vocational Management Group as an account manager and took a similar job with Genex Services of Canada the following year. In 1997, she took a marketing position at Corel. She found herself laid off twice in 2001, first from Entrust and then from GotMarketing. She responded to the run of bad luck by launching cardcommunications.

Biggest Success: "Identifying the niche to develop a business plan and get cardcommunications off of the ground without any financing."

Dream Job: Working in a Mediterranean jujube factory.

Title of Autobiography: Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way.
